New Media Cloud will be sponsoring Twestival in Brussels. We love grass roots social media and Twestival is one of the best case studies here. Originally conceived in the UK, hundreds of thousand's of euros have been raised globally for charity by bringing together "social media types" for a party (oh and some sharing of ideas).
In Brussels, Gilbert West and Christian De Neef really do amazing work to get this organised, but there are probably 30-50 others putting in immense energy (for free) to get this together. Even our own web 2.0 celebs Robin Wauters and Clo Willaerts give their time to this. Great stuff!
